Life at Camp Arcadia is an adjustment particularly for overseas staff
but it is an adjustment worth making! As a more mature member of the
counselling team, I was initially nervous about both my role within the camp
and how the younger members of the team would view me. These nerves were unnecessary as all the staff were fantastic. The support and guidance I received made
life at camp a hugely enjoyable experience and one that hopefully I will be
able to repeat. The routines are well established and the
traditions within the camp make the summer a unique experience. The girls
provide a constant source of inspiration and fun and are eager to learn and
then demonstrate their new skills. Working at
camp this summer has made me realize
that whilst I am always willing to help others, going the extra mile after
that, does not always leave you out of breath but actually makes you smile and
