Vacation at Camp Arcadia

Thank you for your interest in embarking on a rustic getaway at Camp Arcadia in Southern Maine.

Vacationing at Camp Arcadia has been a tradition for over 45 years; our 367-acre campus on Pleasant Lake in Casco, Maine is a truly unique place to spend a vacation with your friends or family.

We offer the ability to truly disconnect and spend quality time with your family and friends in a bucolic setting. The atmosphere is casual and close to nature.

During our Alumnae and Family Camp, each family/group will have their own screened cabin with a front porch, deck chairs, and a view of Pleasant Lake. All cabins have running water and some have electricity and fireplaces. Hot showers are located in our central shower house.

Alumnae and Family Camp is a great location for extended families to get together, or for friends to have a reunion.

Our meals are healthy and plentiful. We offer family-style dining in our screened dining room, made-to-order or breakfast buffet, breakfast baskets delivered to your cabin, picnics at the beach, and a Gala Dinner featuring fresh Maine lobster!

After being out of touch with Arcadia for almost 35 years, I’m overjoyed to reconnect and have the awesome chance to bring my family to Family Camp.

Being back has rekindled my enormous love for this place. The happiest summers of my childhood happened here and I attribute my lifelong love of camping, backpacking, canoeing, and hiking to the skills and fun I gained while at Camp. Thank you for running Family Camp so people can bring their loved ones to experience some of the magic.

During our weeks of Alumnad and Family Camp, you are welcome to design your own week.  Our waterfront will be open for swimming, paddle boarding, kayaking, and sailing.  Our tennis and pickleball courts will be open for practice or matches.  You can sign up for private Archery or Sailing lessons, dropin-in/out of our Arts and Crafts or Weaving studios. Or, simply relax on our white sand beach.

Arcadia Alumnae and Family Camp brings friends and families together for laughter, fun, and great memories.

Enjoy our activities and equipment at your leisure.

Our outdoor Arts & Crafts and Weaving Centers are open for both adults and children. Materials are provided for fun, easy projects you can take home, nature notecards, kites and more. Legos, puzzles, and board games are available in the Main Lodge.

We offer kayak and canoe excursions, as well as overnight hiking and camping trips on our beautiful property.  You can cook dinner over an open fire, star gaze and sleep in our shelters. Camp Arcadia can provide hearty meals and equipment needed for your family adventure.

Relax in nature

This is my seventh Family Camp. It has taken on new importance for me as I have become the primary caregiver for my 85-year-old husband, who has Alzheimer's. What a great place for a respite week! My old friend, Shirley, and I are here with our grandsons and in previous summers, we brought our granddaughters.

Social Hour & Evenings

Each evening, we invite everyon to pause and enjoy time together. Some families and groups visit on the beach. Some families and groups visit on their porches. Some join us at the Main Lodge for social distancing Social Hour! Bring a bottle of wine and we will provide sodas, punch, and appetizers. Social Hour is a great opportunity to take a breath and enjoy the evening twilight over Pleasant Lake.

Social Hour runs from 5:00-6:00 pm daily.

Each evening after supper, there will be games for children of all ages, s'mores at the firepit near the Main Lodge, or go for a stroll on the trails.
